(Los Angeles, CA) LA Artcore is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition for the second part of its USA-France Exchange Program. In October 2018, seven Los Angeles artists from LA Artcore were invited to show their art in Paris, France. In February 2020, five French artists will be participating in an exhibition at LA Artcore Brewery Annex.

The title of the exhibition is La Musique Américaine.About the exhibition Rousseau, Lafayette, de Tocqueville, the Statue of Liberty, the Impressionists, Chanel... The French have had a profound influence on American history, politics, art, culture, and fashion. Paris in the 20s was a mecca for American writers and artists from Hemingway to Man Ray. The work of Matisse set the American art world on fire. Coco Chanel gave us the little black dress.America, in return, has had a profound influence on French history, art, and culture. The French loved American values, culture and lifestyle: music from jazz to Elvis, American movies, Abstract Expressionism, blue jeans."La Musique Américaine"—the title of the exhibition—is a song by Claude François, who sang American songs in French and expressed his love of American music. With "La Musique Américaine", LA Artcore exhibits the artworks of French artists who have absorbed American art—graffiti, spontaneity, colors, shapes, and composition—and takes it in another direction.
